3 1/2 Stars, 4.2/5 Travelers' Recommendation Near 6th & IH 35
European wading pool with spa tub and waterfall. 24 hour fitness center. Note: This hotel is within two blocks of Esthers' Follies and about a five to six block walk from the auction site. Expensive at $205 per night and that doesn't include a $25 parking fee valet of not. Not Recommeded. |

2 Stars, 3.7/5 Travelers' Recommendation 2711 South IH 35
Located about three miles from the auction site. Free parking, free breakfast, fitness center.
Note: This hotel was recently bought by Howard Johnson's and remodeled. AAA rate is $71.20 per night, with tax, $$81.88. |

2 1/2 Stars, 3.8 Travelers' Recommendation 300 East 11TH Street
Note: This hotel has been completely remodeled and better than most La Quintas. However you will probably think that the rate for a La Quinta is quite high and it is, especially when you throw in parking which will run you $12.50 in extra charges. You can save on this by parking on the street which is "free" after 5:30 p.m. on Friday. This has been our headquarters hotel in the past since it is just two blocks from the auction site and our out-of-town auctioneers used this hotel two years ago. Was I surprised when I checked the rate this evening (March 24, 2010). It was $103.50 with a AAA rate. Much less than last year's $139 rate. Great location, but don't forget the added parking rate here. |

There are a number of Motel 6 lodges in the Austin city limits. We have not listed information on individual locations, but rates run from $49.99 to $55.95 per night. Three locations are within five miles of the auction site. Two are on the west side of North IH 35 and one is on the east side of South IH 35. Here are three Motel Sixs that I checked this evening (March 24, 2010): 9420 IH 35 North, $49.99 (NOT RECOMENDED, BAD AREA OF TOWN) 5330 IH 35 North, $55.95 6603 IH 35 North, $53.00 (Queen Bed only available here) There are several others near downtown and they price range should be similar. |

4 Star Hotel, 11th & IH 35
This hotel is our headquarters hotel for both the 2010 auction and T.A.O.M. 2010. It is a short walk to Austin Auction Central (about three blocks) and has an Austin Magic Auction room rate of $99 per night. This rate is good for Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, but must be booked through the auction chairman to obtain the $99 room rate. That is the only way you can get this rate. And, as they say at the auction, FAIR WARNING, we are 80% booked on our room allotment as of Thursday, March 24, 2010. Don't be disappointed. For bookings, contact Ron at 512-444-8729. |
